The client is a higher education provider who wants to bring the education system online.
MRSHI is a traditional higher education institute providing regular daytime offline education. Institute does not provides hostel accommodation to students, hence only students from near by places study in the institute.
The institute management desires to make education accessible through internet to those who can’t study in regular institute either due to the fact that aspirants are working somewhere and cannot attend the institute during the daytime or live in far away places of the country and do not have educational institutes in nearby cities.
Replicate the offline education process and make it available online through the institute website.
- Automate the admission procedure.
- Automate the fee payment procedure.
- Automate the access to study material.
- Set up tools for teacher student video interactions.
- Set up a video recording system to conduct exams online.
- Automate the process of promotion to next semester.
MRSHI website was developed keeping in mind different scenarios and following functionality.
- Aspirant applies for admission by filling the admission form and uploading the necessary documents.
- Administration approves the application and aspirant is granted preliminary admission. Student account is automatically created and faculty, year of education and group is automatically assigned. Admission and education fee invoice is automatically created. Student is informed about the admission, account details and invoice and payment terms by email.
- Student logs in his account, pays the invoice online. Automatically accounts department is informed about the payment. Student is automatically granted access to necessary study material. If the student does not pay the invoice within 15 days, preliminary admission is automatically cancelled. Fee invoice for subsequent semesters is automatically created and tracked. If the invoice is not paid within certain timeline, access to library, study material, online lectures and interaction with teachers is automatically blocked.
- All the books, methodology and other documents were digitalized, and necessary library was created.
- Teachers conduct live online lectures as per the schedule. Recording is available for students.
- Regular teacher-student interaction sessions are conducted as per schedule where students can clear their doubts.
- Administration creates the examination schedule in the backend. Students are automatically informed about the exams by email. Those students who pass all the semester tests are automatically allowed to take exams.
- Exams are conducted by means of video recording in students panel on the website. Video is stored and available for teachers to access the answers. P.S. In Russia, exams in educational institutions are conducted orally.
- Students who pass all the exams are automatically promoted to the next semester.
- On successfully completing the course, degree is mailed to the student by post.
